Scope of Work

The contractor will provide field support, data analysis, and equipment to conduct comprehensive spawning and stranding surveys. Key requirements include:

• Spawning & Stranding Surveys: Conduct bi-weekly Central Valley Steelhead (CVSH) spawning surveys to map redd locations and CVSH stranding and isolation pool surveys (no more than twice per month).
• Data Collection: Collect detailed field data for estimating CVSH spawning, including species identification, estimated fish length, redd nose velocity, depth, width, length, and tail spill.
• Reporting: Provide bi-weekly reports on project resources, biological status of the CVSH population, noteworthy events, and project activity forecasts. This also includes updating bi-weekly spawning survey reports (4 total) and stranding/isolation survey reports (1 survey).
• Data Compilation & Analysis: Compile field data, perform quality assurance, populate electronic databases, and prepare an annual report with estimates of in-river spawning steelhead abundance.
• Project Management: Comprehensive management encompassing planning, organizing logistics, conducting studies, data compilation, and final reporting.
