Purpose
This Sources Sought is for market research purposes only to determine if an adequate number of qualified, interested small businesses exist to fulfill the requirement for entry screening equipment at the "Frontiers in Flight Air Show" from October 23-25, 2026. The Government does not intend to award a contract based solely on responses to this notice.
Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all management, personnel, equipment, supplies, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to deliver, install, calibrate, maintain, and remove touchless walkthrough screening systems. The equipment is needed to support security for the event by screening large numbers of people while addressing concerns such as social distancing and minimizing physical contact. Key requirements include:
- Equipment Lease: Three (3) dual-lane touchless walkthrough screening units (six active lanes) for the base period, with options to scale up to five (5) units (ten active lanes). Equipment must be network-independent, have a minimum throughput of 3,600 people per hour per unit, and operate outdoors (under tents) in temperatures from 35°F to 105°F.
- On-Site Technical Support: At least one (1) certified technician on-site daily from 0700 to 1800 during the event (October 23-25, 2026) for setup, calibration, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Signage & Accessories: Provision of all necessary operational signage and non-metallic collection trays (24-40 depending on options).
- Training: Hands-on operational and troubleshooting training for designated Security Forces operators by October 23, 2026.
- Logistics: Setup and calibration by October 22, 2026, 1600, and teardown by October 25, 2026, 1900. Equipment will be placed at the North General Public Entry Control Point (ECP) at the Mass Aircraft Parking Area (MAPA).
