Magnetic Particle Testing Unit Semi Annual Maintenance

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To obtain preventative maintenance and calibration services for specific Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) equipment located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY).

This SOW covers the maintenance and calibration of the following MPI units:

• One (1) GB-3509-01
• Two (2) D-2060
• One (1) M-2040
• One (1) 3009R-6
• Five (5) P70
• Six (6) DA750

Contractor responsibilities include:

• Mechanical operation checks (headstock, tailstock, coil)

• Short circuit tests

• Quick break function tests (on applicable machines)

• Bath inspection, refill, and concentration checks (Government provides fluid and powder)

• Pneumatic and electrical operation checks

• Cooling fan function checks

• Electrical component checks (relays, timers, contactors)

• Physical inspection of components and wiring

• Operational checks of all switches and controls

• Documentation and correction of minor issues (up to $400 per call)

• Inspection and module replacement for model 3009R-6

• Diagnostics and quotes for repairs exceeding $400

• Emergency services for equipment breakdowns

• Equipment must be verified to be satisfactory and functioning properly.

• Work must meet minimum Government requirements.

• Awardee must be factory trained and ISO 17025 accredited.
