Scope of Work

The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services to maintain airfield pavement markings. Key tasks include:

• Painting: Application of white, yellow, and red retro-reflective and non-reflective markings on runways (05/23, 15/33), taxiways (F, G, L, N, P, R, S, T, & Y), aprons, pads, and ramps. This includes centerlines, edge lines, thresholds, hold positions, parking spots, and restricted area lines.
• Removal: Water-blasting of old pavement markings, rubber buildup, and fuel pit paint markings, targeting 85% removal without damaging surfaces.
• Friction Testing: Conducting runway friction testing and analysis on Runway 05/23 in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5320-12C, utilizing certified friction measuring equipment.
• Miscellaneous: Repainting warning signs, static ground points, and other markings as detailed in contract drawings.

Special Requirements & Notes

• Coordination: Daily coordination with the Contracting Officer and Airfield Management is required for all work, especially runway closures and work in controlled airfield zones.
• Safety & Access: Strict adherence to safety regulations, base access vetting (15 calendar days), and vehicle passes are mandatory. Escorts are required in restricted areas.
• Materials: Compliance with Federal Specifications TT-P-1952F for waterborne traffic/airfield paint and TT-B-1325D for retro-reflective glass beads is required. A wage determination (MA20260019) for Hampden County, MA, applies.
