Scope of Work

This opportunity involves comprehensive life cycle sustainment work on U.S. Navy vessels. The scope includes:

• Vessel Maintenance: Hull maintenance, anti-foulant paint system restoration, and installation of interceptor guards on six (6) 33HS vessels, and hull zinc guards on six (6) 64PB vessels.
• 64PB Specific Tasks: Restoration of the jet paint system on the upper one-third of jet nozzles and buckets, and replacement of warped engine room bulkheads.
• 33HS Specific Tasks: Installation of battery switches.
• 78PB Specific Tasks: Upgrade of navigation electronics on three (3) 78PB vessels.
• General Requirements: Applies to all vessels and includes ship checks, fire safety, hotel services, work preparation, removals/reinstallation, moorings, transportation, haul-out/launch, blocking, preservation/painting, hardware replacement, cleanliness, welding, and performance demonstrations.
• Coordination: The Contractor will coordinate with the Contracting Officer, via the COR, to schedule delivery of 33HSs and 64PBs to the Contractor's work site.

• Materials: Contractor to provide all new materials, adhering to specified quality standards and prohibiting asbestos, PCB, magnesium, cadmium, or mercury.
• Environmental & Hazardous Waste Management: Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws for hazardous waste disposal.
• Quality Control: Contractor is responsible for an Inspection and Quality Control System; Government observers will monitor work.
• Contractor Training: Provision of electronics system training for 11 students.
