Contract work consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sediment within the Lewes to Rehoboth Canal. Base contract work includes dredging between Roosevelt Inlet and just south of the Savannah Road bridge in Lewes, DE. There will be an Option to dredge just south the Rt 9 Bridge. Work includes hydraulic dredging with placement of the dredged material into one or both of the upland dredged material disposal areas in Lewes, DE between the canal and Cedar Street. Dredging between Roosevelt inlet and the Savannah Road Bridge will be to -10’ MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable overdepth. Dredging below Savannah Road, including the Option, will be to -6’ MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable overdepth. The base contract will also include sluice replacement and minor earthwork for embankment improvements at both disposal areas. The base contract period of performance is 420 calendar days with an additional 30 days added if Option 1 is awarded. This work will be advertised as an IFB, SBSA. Total Period of performance (PoP) will be 450 days. 420 days for the base and 30 additional days if the Option is awarded. If awarded, the Option will be awarded within 365 days of NTPs. Estimated cost range of the project is $1,000,000,000 to $5,000,000,000.
