Dredging depths are 42' plus 2' overdepth, with 44' plus 2' overdepth for Battery Island, Southport, and Baldhead-Caswell. All dredging must be performed by a mechanical dredge using ocean certified barges to transport material to the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). There are no environmental windows for mechanical dredging, but overflow of barges/scows is restricted during dredging and transport.
