Scope of Work
The requirement is for a Bruker Scientific MALDI Biotyper sirius CA System or an equivalent product. The system must meet specific salient characteristics, including being FDA-approved, capable of identifying common microorganisms from various sample types, and compliant with CLIA and CLSI performance standards. Key components include the MALDI Biotyper sirius CA System, MBT Compass HT, MBT HT Filamentous Fungi Module, MBT Filamentous Fungi Library Extension, MBT HT Sepsityper Module, MBT Sepsityper Kit US IVD, and a UPS POWERVAR ABCE602-11.
The system must have a minimum of 488 FDA-cleared microbial species in its library (including Candida auris), support a research-use-only library, and offer specific capabilities for Mycology, such as Coccidioides identification. Physical requirements include a benchtop design (75kg or less), 110V power, maximum 400 Watts dissipation, quiet operation (<50 db), and compatibility with current and future VA EHR systems (Oracle/Cerner EHRM). Delivery, installation, and both onsite and offsite application training are required at the Puget Sound VA Medical Center, Seattle, WA 98108.

Submission & Evaluation

Required submission items include a completed and signed SF 1449, a completed Price/Cost Schedule, and detailed description/literature demonstrating how an "equal" item meets all salient characteristics. Vendors must also provide company POC, email, phone, and SAM UEI. Award will be based on the best value to the Government, considering technical compliance (meeting salient characteristics and price/cost schedule), Past Performance (Pass/Fail), and Price. Vendors must be an OEM, authorized distributor, or reseller, verified by an authorization letter.
