Scope of Work
The contractor will provide management, administrative, and production services, materials, tools, and equipment for comprehensive non-skid work. This includes:
- Removal of old deck covering and underlayment (including rubber base) using abrasive blast, ultra-high pressure water jet, or power tools.
- Surface preparation, primer application, and installation of new non-skid deck covering.
- Work areas include flight decks, hangar bays, cargo decks, elevators, tank decks, vehicle stowage, walkways, catwalks, and interior spaces.
- Compliance with NAVSEA Standard Items (NSIs), Local Work Templates (LWTs), and Standard Work Templates (SWTs) is required.
- Personnel must possess specific certifications for coating inspection, blasting, and spray painting (e.g., NBPI, NACE CIP Level 1, SSPC QP 1).
