Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This PWS defines the requirements for preventive maintenance (PM) and unscheduled maintenance (UM) for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) locations within the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

• The Contractor shall perform scheduled PM and on-demand UM for various types of MHE.

• MHE includes electric and propane/gasoline forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and electric order pickers/stock selectors.

• Services are to be performed at commissary system locations.

• The contract will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for PM and Time and Material (T&M) for UM.

• PM services are to be scheduled and performed at regular intervals (every three months).

• UM repairs are to be responded to within 16 working hours, with estimates provided to the COR.

• UM repairs are to be completed within 7 working days of approval.

• Contractor must maintain cleanliness of work areas and properly dispose of materials.

• Warranty is required for replacement parts and workmanship.

• Service tickets and a service history report are required deliverables.

• Period of Performance is based on current and previous market research.

• Work is to be performed on-site at commissary locations, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, excluding federal holidays.

• Contractor personnel must be certified by ASE and possess mechanical aptitude.

• Contractor must comply with OSHA, DOD, DeCA safety regulations, and environmental laws.

• Contractor is responsible for safeguarding government property.

• Government will provide necessary utilities.
