This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of Meal Tray Delivery Carts for the Roseburg VA Medical Center. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures IAW FAR 12. This announcement serves as the sole solicitation.

• Procurement of Meal Tray Delivery Carts.

• Specific quantities and types required:

  • Four (4) compact Meal Delivery carts, pass-thru, 2-door, 2-compartment with 3-sided top rails and 8” casters & wrap-around bumpers.
  • Three (3) compact Meal Delivery carts, pass-thru, 1-door, 1-compartment with 3-sided top rails and 8” casters & wrap-around bumpers.

• Essential characteristics include:

  • All stainless steel construction.
  • Sound dampening/noise suppression bearing covers.
  • Gravity locking doors with door stops.
  • 8" casters (six per cart), with a MUST HAVE of 4 locking-swivel casters and 2 fixed center wheels.
  • Wrap-around bumpers.
  • Vertical push handles.
  • MUST HAVE 3-sided top rails for safe delivery.
  • Capacity: 2-door carts must hold at least 24 trays; 1-door carts must hold at least 12 trays.
