Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This PWS outlines the requirements for a non-personal services contract to provide linen rental service in support of the 377th Medical Group (377MDG) at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM.

• Provide linen rental services including pick-up and delivery.

• Delivered linen must be free of dirt, debris, dampness, odors, mildew, and cleansing chemical residue.

• Linen must have a uniform appearance, be properly finished, and packaged.

• Specific requirements for treating laundry with residual self-sanitizing germicide and processing 377MDG laundry separately.

• Handling of special wash items (stained with bodily fluids) in biohazard bags.

• Repair or reimbursement for damaged or lost items.

• Pickup and delivery schedule: Every Tuesday, between 1130 and 1530 ET. Service will occur on the next business day if a pickup/delivery day falls on a federal holiday or planned closure.

• Contractor personnel must present a neat, clean, and professional appearance and be identified as contractor personnel.

• No employment of US Government employees if it creates a conflict of interest.

• Contractor personnel must wear identification badges.

• Contractor must comply with all applicable OSHA, state, and local health regulations.

• Contractor must provide a Contract Manager and an alternate.

• Contractor vehicles must be clean, enclosed, maintained in a sanitary condition, and properly licensed and insured.

• Contractor must provide separate, cleanable laundry carts for clean and soiled laundry, cleaned daily with a germicide and lined.

• Contractor's laundry facility must meet OSHA standards and is subject to government inspection.

• Specific methods for packing and bundling laundry are provided, including finish codes.

• Estimated quantities for various items are provided, with the contractor responsible for total inventory to supply weekly changes.
