Scope of Work
The requirement is for the collection, removal, and disposal of infectious medical waste from FMC Devens. Services must comply with EPA, Federal, State, and local laws. A minimum of two hauls per week is required, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding federal holidays), with additional hauls possible with 24-hour notice.
The contractor will furnish all necessary labor, equipment, vehicles, containers (receptacles, plastic bags, puncture-resistant sharps containers) for safe disposal. Disposal facilities must be compliant, and certified disposal documentation is required for each removal. Waste destruction must be via incineration or autoclave. Contractor employees will require security background clearances and must adhere to institutional regulations.
