This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Medicine Bow National Forest. The government is procuring 79,250 Tree Seedling Shade Cards with mounting hardware to protect planted tree seedlings from sun and wind exposure.

• Product: Tree Seedling Shade Cards (also known as mesh shade envelopes) with mounting hardware (e.g., wire wickets).

• Quantity: 79,250 EACH.

• Technical Specifications:

  • Height: 12" to 16" tall
  • Width: 6" to 12" wide
  • Easily secured to the ground, not physically connected to seedlings.
  • Material: Greenhouse-quality plastic, polyethylene mesh, polyolefin mesh, waxed cardboard, or similar.
  • Durability: Sufficient to withstand rain and last at least one year.
  • Ease of installation.
  • Opaque or translucent, blocking at least 65% of incoming sunlight.
  • Must not physically impede seedling growth.

• Delivery Location: Foxpark, WY – Address of 152 Platte River Access Road: FS-512, Laramie, WY 82070.

• Contract Type: One Firm-Fixed Priced Award.

• Period of Performance: Delivery expected between April 15th, 2026 and May 8th, 2026 (dependent on snow levels). Final delivery date to be approved by the contracting officer.

• Submission Deadline: April 9, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM MDT.
