Background

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is an industry consortium that arose from government attempts in the late 1960s and early 1970s to incentivize research and development on the part of electric utilities to address substantial power outages.  EPRI, among other things, maintains several software-based methodologies that are used by NRC licensees and various NRC staff to conduct nuclear analyses.

Objective

The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain membership and licensing agreements on the following EPRI’s software suites:

HRA Calculator Users Group (Human Reliability Analysis)

FTREX Users Group (Fault Tree Reliability Evaluation Expert)

IRT Users Group (Integrated Risk Technologies)
