The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, DISA Sponsored IT Services Section (PS8311), Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to extend the ordering period for one year to Microsoft Enterprise Technical Support Services-II (METSS-II) single-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), HC1028-17-D-0001. This was a sole-source, single-award IDIQ contract to Microsoft Corporation, a large business, to provide highly trained "Microsoft Blue Badge Cardholder-support" services direct from Microsoft that require access rights to Microsoft proprietary (closed-source) code, which is licensed under exclusive legal right of Microsoft Corporation. The revised period of performance will be December 21, 2016 through December 20, 2026. The core requirements include support from and access to Microsoft resources with direct experience building the company's proprietary software to optimize/ support for Department of Defense's (DoD) specialized needs. The required engineering and professional technical support services for Microsoft technology to assist in supporting the DoD's Information Technology (IT) transformation efforts which include: operational architecture, design, implementation, systems consulting and maintenance support, oversight to ensure the baseline configuration, upgrades, integration, test and evaluation of the DISA and DoD's global IT enterprise services to ensure they are provided with the necessary emergency messaging, situational awareness, crisis action, and operational capabilities to fulfill DISA and DoD's missions. The contract is currently in year nine of the period of performance, December 21, 2016 - December 20, 2025.
This acquisition will be procured in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition
of Commercial Items. IAW FAR 6.302, a Justification and Approval will be approved for this procurement.
