This document provides responses to vendor questions regarding solicitation W192EK26QA026 for a 1600 CFM Air Compressor.

• Maximum Width Requirement (90 inches): This is a strict mandatory requirement due to limited space on a barge.
• Maximum Ambient Operating Temperature (125°F): This is a mandatory requirement for continuous-duty operation, as the unit will be exposed to direct sunlight on the Mississippi River.
• Sound Level Requirement (85 dBA at 20 feet): This is a safety request and not a strict requirement. It will be measured with a calibrated decibel meter under standard operation.
• Service Valve Configuration: Shipment of required service valves for field installation at commissioning will satisfy the requirement; factory installation is not mandatory.
• Sound Measurement Methodology: Measurements will be taken under loaded operating conditions using a calibrated decibel meter.
• Equivalent Equipment Consideration: Functionally equivalent trailer-mounted Class 0 oil-free diesel portable compressors within the 1500-1600 CFM range may be considered acceptable if they meet airflow, pressure, fuel capacity, aftercooler, cold-weather, and delivery requirements, even if they differ in stated dimensional, acoustic, or ambient operating values.

Clarifications were provided on the mandatory nature of certain requirements and the acceptability of field installation for valves. The unit will be removed from its trailer and placed on a barge.

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase and delivery of a Trailer Mounted 1600 CFM Oil Free Diesel Rotary Screw Compressor. The acquisition is for the Mississippi River Project Office (MRPO).

• Item: CFM Air Compressor, Trailer Mounted, 1600 CFM, Oil Free, Diesel Rotary Screw.

• Performance: Actual Delivery cfm 1550+; Rated Pressure psi 125; Pressure Range, max/min psi 150/75; Service Valves 1-3 NPT/1-3/4 NPT; Operating Ambient Temperature max/min F 125/-20; Aftercooler required; Sound Level @ 20 feet dbA 85.

• Engine: Fuel Tank Capacity 250 Gallons.

• Size Requirement: No larger than Length (in) 252, Width (in) 90, Height (in) 110.

• Options: Cold weather pack, 120v connection, Aftercooler.

• Packaging & Delivery: Delivery no later than 6 months after notice of award. Cost for packaging, delivery, or shipping must be included in the quote.

• Delivery Location: USACE Building D - 25549 182nd Street, Pleasant Valley, IA 52767, Attn: Michael Klemme.

• Delivery Hours: 0700 hrs to 1600 hrs Central Time (CT) Monday thru Thursday and no federal holidays.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price.

• Evaluation: Award will be made to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Specific evaluation factors are not detailed in this document but will be provided in the full solicitation.

• Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award.
