Personnel Qualifications & Requirements
Key personnel requirements for the Craft Master Instructor/Writer include:
- Minimum 12 years operational experience, documented practical experience, and leadership experience.
- Knowledge of maritime systems, navigation, damage control, cargo stability, firefighting, and vessel operation.
- Experience as an instructor in a military environment within the past five years.
- Experience with maritime training simulators and ability to handle LCU operations.
- Qualified as LCU-1600 Craft Master and with USCG Approved Marine Radar Observer and Bridge Resource Management License.
- Proficiency with MS Office, high school diploma/GED, and effective communication skills.
- No SECRET clearance required; standard installation access and security policies apply.
- Required training: Anti-Terrorism Level 1, OPSEC Level 1, iWATCH, and Information Assurance (IA) Cyber Awareness Training.
