Quick Summary

The Minnesota National Guard (MNARNG), through the United States Property & Fiscal Office (USPFO) - Minnesota, is conducting an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the sale of recyclable scrap metal from the Willmar Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) in Willmar, MN. The scrap metal consists of unseparated ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Bids are due by 10:00 AM CDT on June 15, 2026.

Scope of Sale

The winning vendor will receive unseparated ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. The Willmar FMS will deliver the scrap metal to the vendor's designated location, which must be within 20 miles of the FMS. The Government is responsible for transportation and delivery, while the purchaser is responsible for offloading and acceptance. The scrap metal is sold "as is" and "where is," without warranties regarding its kind, character, or quality.

Financial & Contract Details

The agreement term is for one base year (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027) with two optional one-year periods, potentially extending the agreement through June 30, 2029. The purchase price per pound will be based on an agreed-upon rate at the time of delivery, utilizing unprepared scrap metal pricing set for that month. Payment is due within 15 days after the scrap metal drop-off. Acceptable payment methods are cashier's check or money order, made payable to "U.S. Treasury." The contractor must send a transaction report with the payment.
