BACKGROUND:
Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) and Headquarters Marine Corps Installations and Logistics (HQMC I&L) Contracts offices host this event quarterly to further communication with our industry partners on current and future requirements to meet the intent of the Deputy Secretary of Defense’s direction to engage with industry to “harness and protect the National Security Innovation Base as well as modernize key capabilities.” Through this engagement our goal is to assist us in yielding the most innovative solutions and the best value for the Marine Corps at the Enterprise level. In addition, the Small Business (SB) Offices from MARCORSYSCOM and I&L will be in attendance and speak at the event.
The Contracting and SB offices offer a forecast of upcoming solicitations to the defense industrial base to include small businesses. Briefings include a synopsis of the acquisition, acquisition strategy (including possible set-aside), solicitation release date, and closing date. The contracting points of contact and email addresses are provided should there be any questions regarding the opportunities that are presented.
