Purpose

This notice is solely for information and planning purposes to determine if two or more qualified small businesses can meet the requirement, thereby supporting a small business set-aside. Scope of Work

The U.S. Government requires mortuary services and support, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Embalming and preparation of remains
  • Casketing
  • Transportation
  • Disinterment and interment of remains
  • Maintaining an effective quality control program and complying with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The services are required for deceased U.S. Army Soldiers and certain Department of the Army civilians within CONUS and OCONUS (U.S. States, Territories, and Possessions). Key personnel, such as Program Managers and Alternate Program Managers, are expected to hold dual funeral director and embalmer licenses.
