The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Rock Island District, intends to procure the overhaul of two (2) Reintjes Marine Reduction Gears Transmissions of the Motor Vessel for the Mississippi River Project Office, on a sole source basis with Karl Senner LLC in accordance with 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(2)(i), only one source is reasonably available.
USACE - Rock Island requires that the performance specifications be provided of the following parts and labor for major overhaul on the Motor Vessel for two (2) Reintjes Marine Reduction Gear, Model WAF 760 S/N: 56966 and 56967.
USACE - Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract with Karl Senner LLC. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 336611 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,300 employees.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AND NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. However, any business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contract Specialist in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence shall be sufficient detial that demonstrates the ability to comply with the performance specifications and must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by 10 December 2025 by 2PM Central Time.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
USACE - Rock Island District will not reimburse for any costs connected with supply sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the performance specifications. In order to receive a Government award, a firm must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://sam.gov/). Firms must register on a one-time basis, and annually confirm accuracy and completeness of registration information.
