This acquisition is justified as sole source due to the unique qualifications of Emerson parts for the MPTS, following a successful update of one test set. Market research did not yield alternative sources. The government will continuously monitor technology for future competitive opportunities. An Ombudsman, Ms. Kayla Marshall (kayla.marshall@us.af.mil, 801-777-6549), is available for concerns not resolved by the Contracting Officer.
