Evaluation
This is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider responses from alternate offerors solely to determine if a competitive procurement is feasible. AVIOSS, LLC is currently the only approved source. For any other company to be considered, an engineering and quality assurance audit, typically taking 12 months, would be required, which is deemed an unacceptable delay.
Additional Notes
Alternate offerors must submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR) package to the Contract Specialist. The SAR package must include: configuration drawings for similar items produced within the last three years, complete process/operation sheets, copies of purchase orders/shipping documents for production quantities, a detailed comparative analysis of the proposed part versus the required part, and copies of inspection method sheets. A solicitation will not be posted unless alternate offerors are identified and approved.
