Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary for comprehensive asphalt services. This includes:
- Demolition and Installation: Removal and disposal of existing asphalt, followed by the installation of new asphalt.
- Sealing and Re-striping: Sealing of existing asphalt surfaces and re-striping of all parking lots and driveways.
- Specific Requirements:
- Building 1: Preparation, cleaning, crack filling with hot applied sealant, sealcoating with "Sealmaster" or equivalent (containing black sand), hot tar application at asphalt/concrete interfaces, and re-striping with DOT approved paint.
- Buildings 2 & 3: Milling at specific points, cleaning and preparing areas for paving, constructing concrete collars around catch basins (Building 2 only), installing a 1/2" hot mix asphalt top (leveling course), installing a 1 1/2" hot mix asphalt top (finish course), re-striping and stenciling, and sealing asphalt edges and interfaces with concrete using hot flexible rubberized tar seal.
- Quality Control: The contractor must develop and maintain an effective quality control program.
Contract & Timeline

- Period of Performance: Work must be completed within 90 days of the start of work, which may commence within 10 days after notice to proceed. The government reserves the right to extend the contract.
