Quick Summary
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the continued development and integration of the Mule Max Gen 2 (MMG2) Mod Payload (CRANKY DUCK) system. This effort aims to integrate the MMG2 system onto the Stalker VXE-30 UAS, expanding its capabilities for US SOF missions. Responses are due January 26, 2026.
Scope of Work
The MMG2 system is a modular, low probability of intercept (LPI), low probability of detection (LPD), dual-mode close target reconnaissance data transfer capability with built-in anti-tamper features. It supports Ultra-Wideband (UWB) for short-distance/large data transfers and Long Range (LR) mode for long-distance/low data transfers. The CRANKY DUCK modification will enable the MMG2 system's integration onto the Stalker VXE-30 UAS, enhancing its range and use cases for Special Operations Forces.

Evaluation
This is for informational purposes only and not a formal solicitation. The Government is seeking capability statements from all responsible sources. Responses should demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed Valence Systems' capabilities, possess required certifications, and offer increased capabilities that significantly outweigh the cost and delays associated with introducing alternative solutions.
Additional Notes
This requirement is anticipated to be a sole-source award to Valence Systems under FAR 6.302-1, as they hold proprietary data for the existing MMG2 system. This follow-on contract continues USSOCOM's investment in the design, development and integration efforts of the MMG2 system.
