Quick Summary

Argonne National Laboratory, a DOE Contractor, is soliciting quotations for a Multi-Pin Connector. This Solicitation (RFQ) aims to procure a specialized connector for thermocouple applications. There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. Quotations are due by January 5, 2026.

Purpose and Scope

The objective is to procure a high-temperature, low-pressure, multi-pin feedthrough connector to facilitate thermocouple connections between a vessel's interior and the outside atmosphere. The scope requires sourcing an 8-pin connector, prioritizing off-the-shelf or pre-existing designs to manage costs. Key performance standards include an operating pressure range of 15-30 psi, an operating temperature range of 70-575°F (with 400°F being acceptable), 12 VDC maximum voltage, 1 amp maximum amperage, and a bore ID range of 0.375" to 0.625". Pins must be gold-plated for corrosion resistance and electrical connection. Deliverables include both the multi-pin connector and a mating connector.

Contract Details

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Any resultant order will be governed by Argonne Terms and Conditions for Commercial Items (ANL-71COM). Payment terms are Net 30 days - 100% On Delivery, exclusively via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT/Wire). The place of performance is Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL, with delivery expected 6-8 weeks after order placement.

Submission Requirements

Offerors must provide a signed Page one of the RFQ (ANL-70), completed Representations and Certifications (ANL-70A), and a published price list or redacted invoice to demonstrate price reasonableness. Bidders must verify the country of origin, confirm lead time, and address questions regarding domestic/international shipping, pre-pay and add shipping charges, and any available discounts (e.g., DOE or GSA contract pricing). Importantly, any tariff charges must be included in the unit price and cannot be a separate line item. Proposals will be considered incomplete if any requested information is not provided.

Applicable Documentation & Intellectual Property

Bidders are required to review and accept several documents, including Argonne Terms and Conditions, the Statement of Work (Appendix B), Figure 1 (Multi-Pin Connector design), Pre-Award Information, Representations and Certifications, and Intellectual Property Provisions (Appendix D-8-C). The Intellectual Property Provisions outline the government's rights concerning data delivered under the contract, including unlimited rights to technical data in the proposal. Bidders should also note that in case of inconsistency between English and translated versions of agreements, the English meaning takes precedence.

Deadline and Contact

All quotations must be received by January 5, 2026. Inquiries should be directed to Jazlyn Mangis at jmangis@anl.gov or (630) 252-6884.
