Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department, on behalf of the Naval Information Warfare Training Group Gulfport (NIWTG-G), intends to solicit for hydrographic surveyor training services. This is a sole-source requirement.

The services required include on-site, specialized instruction on multibeam theory, operation of the Norbit Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) and Norbit iLiDAR system, and the associated Otter Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV). The training will cover topics such as survey planning, Otter USV operation, swath systems, multibeam data analysis, and LiDAR fundamentals. The training must meet the requirements specified in the International Hydrographic Organization's (IHO) S-5B Standards of Competence for Category "B" Hydrographic Surveyors.

• Evaluation Criteria: Award will be made on a sole-source basis after price is determined to be fair and reasonable. Price will be the primary evaluation factor. Past performance will be reviewed for responsibility. Non-price factors will not be evaluated.
