Statement of Work (SOW)

To replace aging slurry pumps, motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) used for pumping sediment-laden water in the Bureau of Reclamation's Hydraulics Laboratory in Denver, Colorado.

• Procure and deliver two horizontal slurry pumps with 75-hp 3-phase motors.
• Procure and deliver two variable frequency drives (VFDs) with enclosures.
• Procure and deliver required electrical components and associated hardware.
• Provide on-site installation and start-up by a qualified electrician or technician.

CLIN 010 - Horizontal Slurry Pumps with Compatible Motors (Quantity 2):

• Brand or equal: Metso model MR300 LNR-S C5 or equal.
• Design flow: 3,400 gpm.
• Design total dynamic head (TDH): 40 feet.
• Fluid: Sediment laden water (d50 of 0.5-2.0 mm).
• Maximum allowable passing particle size: 75 mm.
• Impellers: Elastomer or rubber lined.
• Motor: 75 hp, 3-phase 480V, 60 Hz, VFD duty rated, 1,750 rpm, TEFC.

CLIN 020 - Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) with Control Panel (Quantity 2):

• Brand or equal: Galt Model G500 (G540-01150UL-03) or equal.
• 75 hp, 480V.
• Adjustable carrier frequencies (8 kHz to 16 kHz) and ability to skip resonant frequencies.
• Include EMC filters with C2/C3 filters.
• NEMA 1 rated enclosure with blower.
• Operator panel for control.
• Mountable to a government-provided movable frame (approx. 13" W x 74" H).

CLIN 030 - Electrical Components:

• 10 ft of 480V 3-phase wiring per motor with conduit and Meltric connectors.
• 15 ft of 480V 3-phase wiring per VFD with conduit and Meltric connectors.
• Cable sizing per NFPA 70.
• Poly Angle with metal junction boxes and Meltric connectors.

CLIN 040 - Installation of Equipment:

• Mount VFD control panels to government-provided frames.

• Install wiring, conduit, junction boxes, and Meltric receptacles.

• Connect VFDs to lab 480V power supply.

• Connect motors to VFD frames.

• Install wiring at two lab column service panels.

• Electrical installation and start-up by a qualified electrician/technician.

• Period: Must be completed 9 months after contract award.

• Place: Bureau of Reclamation, Denver Federal Center, Building 56 - Hydraulics Laboratory, Denver, CO 80225.

• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding federal holidays).
