Project Scope
VASNHCS requires a complete "turnkey" solution to remove an antiquated DAS and install a new Neutral Host Solid DAS enhanced system. This new system must support AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile throughout the VA Hospital and connected buildings, including a new antenna installation in the Administration building (Bldg. 6) that will interface with the hospital DAS. The services are located at VA Medical Center Bldg. #1, 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89086.
Specific Tasks & Requirements
Key tasks include a pre-deployment survey, providing an IBwave designed DAS with test results, testing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) fiber, performing segment sweep and PIM testing of RF coaxial cabling, and certified DAS commissioning. The contractor must adhere to facility requirements (firestop materials, cabling, ICRA procedures), provide comprehensive documentation (pictures, drawings, RF coverage maps), and furnish all head-end and remote electronics equipment. The new DAS must be installed alongside the current system and made operational before the old system is removed. Disposal of existing equipment and turnkey support for RMA operations are also required.
Vendor Qualifications
Respondents must demonstrate the capability to configure and program installed equipment and interface with AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile representatives. Evidence of prior experience working within a Government/VA Hospital/Medical Center facility is mandatory. Vendors must also be able to provide an on-site technician within two hours of notification for equipment issues during the warranty period and be prepared to perform work after hours. Adherence to a provided Salient Characteristics sheet for equipment specifications is critical.
Period of Performance
The initial Period of Performance (POP) for this contract is anticipated to be a Base Year from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027.
