Purpose & Scope
This contract will succeed the current NPSC-SR contract, providing protective services to safeguard NASA personnel, property, operations, and information. Services are required at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Johnson Space Center (JSC), Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Stennis Space Center (SSC), Ames Research Center (ARC), and associated facilities including White Sands Test Facility (WSTF), White Sands Complex (WSC), and Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF).
The scope of work includes:
- Information Security (INFOSEC) and Communications Security (COMSEC)
- Emergency Management (preparedness, operations, continuity, test/training)
- Protective Services Communication Center (PSCC) operations (dispatch, monitoring security/life safety systems)
- Physical Security (safeguarding individuals/assets, assessments, locksmith services, electronic security systems)
- Security Operations (uniformed armed officers, investigations, entry point inspections, access control, event support, Special Weapons and Tactics, canine units, crowd control, law enforcement)
- Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM) (I-9 verification, badge/pass issuance, foreign national processing)
- Personnel Security (background investigation applications, tracking)
- Internal Security Education and Training (firearms, defensive tactics, active shooter response, physical agility, report writing, federal arrest authority)
