Quick Summary
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather industry capabilities for an air-gapped End User Device (EUD) management solution compatible with Windows client OS. This RFI is for market research and planning purposes only, aiming to inform the acquisition of necessary hardware, software, and services. Responses are due by 12:00 hours Central European Time (CET) on 19 March 2026.
Scope of Work
The NCIA seeks an air-gapped solution for the remote management and administration of Windows-based EUDs across two distinct IT domains. Key requirements include:
- Supporting the complete lifecycle of EUDs: provisioning, operation, and decommissioning.
- Operating fully on-premises in an air-gapped fashion.
- Providing control over peripherals attached to EUDs.
- Compatibility with NATO-approved data-at-rest encryption or encrypted hard drives.
- Ensuring only the entitled domain is presented to entitled end users.
Additionally, NCIA is looking for a separate solution for presenting PowerPoint slide decks in small conference/VTC rooms. This solution must support user authentication (e.g., Active Directory) and avoid storing any data. Both solutions will be deployed in Europe.
