Quick Summary
Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation (HQ SACT) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the Allied Future Surveillance and Control (AFSC) Enhanced Tactical Connectivity (eTacC) Capability. This RFI seeks industry, academia, and national input on communication, networking, and data transformation solutions to enable increased connectivity at the tactical edge for Multi-Domain Operations. Responses are due by 9:00 am ET on 29 May 2026.
Purpose & Scope
This RFI is for market research and an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to identify potential "buy or create" solutions for NATO's eTacC capability. The eTacC is envisioned as a node acting as a relay, gateway, and translator to bridge heterogeneous tactical networks. HQ SACT is exploring current, art-of-the-possible, and state-of-the-art solutions that could meet NATO's requirements.
Key Requirements for Respondents
Respondents are asked to provide detailed information on products, services, technologies, and methodologies relevant to eTacC. This includes completing a comprehensive 58-question questionnaire covering aspects such as Technology Readiness Level (TRL), interoperability with NATO standards, supported waveforms/protocols, Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) optimization, adherence to NATO architectures (Zero Trust, Data Centric), data translation, cryptographic capabilities, software-defined networking, AI/ML integration, and lifecycle support.
Contract Details & Eligibility
This is an RFI and does not constitute a commitment to issue a future Request for Proposal (RFP). Costs incurred in responding are solely the responsibility of the respondent, and HQ SACT will not pay for information provided. No Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) price estimates are requested.
Eligibility is restricted to NATO Nations, Industry, and Academia originating or chartered/incorporated within NATO Nations. Companies from Partner Nations must collaborate with a primary company headquartered within a NATO Nation.
