NATO Request for Information: Imagery Exploitation and Visualization Tools (IMINT)

Request for Information (RFI)

This RFI is issued by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) for planning purposes to gather industry input on potential solutions for Imagery Exploitation and Visualisation Tools (IMINT). The goal is to inform the NCIA's acquisition planning, refine requirements, identify capabilities, and shape the procurement strategy for a future solicitation expected in October 2026.

The envisioned capability should support an end-to-end Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) cycle for imagery. Key objectives include:

• Modernizing intelligence production through a scalable, automated, and federated digital environment.
• Leveraging data management, automated analytics, and AI-assisted exploitation.
• Providing a comprehensive software suite for individuals and teams, enabling effective collaboration and decision-making.
• Integrating Structured Observation Management (SOM) and Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI).
• Moving beyond human-only analysis to machine-assisted analysis to manage large data volumes.
• Ensuring interoperability with existing NATO systems and standards.
• Optimizing financial and human resource investments through a streamlined acquisition model.

This RFI is for planning purposes only and is not a request for solicitation or offer. No contract will be awarded based on responses to this RFI.

• Responses are due by 17:00 hours CET on 08 June 2026 to Tiago.Brito@ncia.nato.int.

• Submissions must include comments to Annex A (Executive Summary, max 5 pages) and responses to Annex B questions (Excel format).

• Selected vendors may be invited to participate in scenario-based demonstrations around the week of 6 July 2026.

• Only companies from NATO member countries can participate or respond.

• The RFI includes Annex A (High-Level Summary of Requirements), Annex B (Vendor Response Template), and Annex C (Distribution List).

• NCIA may incorporate industry comments into future solicitations.

• Participation in this RFI process does not guarantee future contract awards.
