Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, NAVAIR WARFARE CTR AIRCRAFT DIV (NAWCAD) has awarded an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to SupplyNet, Inc. for the procurement of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) radio cables and ancillary items.
Scope of Work
This contract covers the procurement of radio cables and ancillary items critical for the Radio Integration System (RIS) Family of Systems (FoS), supporting Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) for the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The contract will procure a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3,125 radio cables and ancillary items.
Contract & Timeline
- Type: Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)
- Duration: Five one-year ordering periods
- Set-Aside: Sole Source (No Set-Aside)
- Award Date: January 23, 2026
- Published: January 23, 2026
Justification for Sole Source
The award to SupplyNet, Inc. was made on a sole-source basis due to their unique position as the only known source with the requisite knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and necessary technical data to continue production of the required items. These items are uniquely compatible with fielded radio hardware (AN/PRC-163 and AN/PRC-167) and have successfully completed user and operational testing. Failure to procure from SupplyNet, Inc. would result in unacceptable delays and render critical systems inoperable, impacting mission success and safety.
Market Research & Future Plans
Extensive market research was conducted, including searches on GSA Advantage, DLA, NAWCAD Small Business Programs website, Dynamic Small Business Search, and general internet searches, none of which identified other capable sources. A Request for Information (RFI) and a pre-solicitation synopsis also yielded no responses from other vendors. The government attempted to acquire unrestricted rights to the technical data, but the cost was deemed prohibitive by SupplyNet, Inc. The anticipated cost was determined to be fair and reasonable. While market research will continue, there are no immediate plans to compete future contracts for these specific items.
