  • Fabrication and installation of battle cover assemblies, dogs, threaded rods, and mounting pads.
  • Work locations include the Vehicle Deck (Frames 28-30, Starboard Side) and Pilot House (1-28-1-C).
  • Use of specified materials: 3/16 inch and 3/8 inch thick mild steel plate, 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch thick steel flat bar, steel round bar, and CRES stud welding.
  • Reusing existing hinge pads and mounting pads where applicable.
  • Cleaning and preservation of new and disturbed surfaces to match surrounding areas.
  • Fabrication and installation of six missing porthole covers.
  • Application of flat black paint (MIL-PRF-24635 FED-STD-595 COLOR 37038) for interior pilot house. Work must conform to ABS Grade A and ASTM A36 standards, with final inspection and verification required.

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price job order.
  • Eligibility: Restricted to firms possessing a current Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels (MARAV) with NAVSUP FLCY in the Japan Region (either a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR)). Firms without an existing agreement may be ineligible if there isn't sufficient time for the Navy to process their application.
  • Set-Aside: This acquisition is not a small business set-aside.
  • Payment: Will be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) at an exchange rate of JPY 150.4415 per USD 1.00. The contract is exempt from Japanese Consumption Tax.
