Scope of Work

This contract involves the purchase and removal of DEMIL A Mixed Metals Scrap, including steel, aluminum, copper/brass, wire, and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Scrap may originate from furniture, equipment, and infrastructure components. Electronic waste, ADP equipment, and data-bearing devices are expressly excluded. All material is sold strictly for recycling purposes; resale or transfer as usable property is prohibited.

Services are required at eligible Federal facilities within a fifty (50) mile radius of Washington, DC. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, containers, and transportation, responding to Government-issued Removal Delivery Orders (RDOs) and coordinating with Agency Government Representatives (AGRs). Compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, transportation, and security requirements is mandatory.

Possible participating agencies include the Departments of Commerce, Agriculture, Labor, Justice, HHS, DHS, Interior, EPA, FTC, FCC, NARA, Smithsonian, NPS, and Judiciary Facilities. The Departments of State, GSA, SSA, and DOT are excluded.

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Removal-based sales contract (IFB)
  • Term: One (1) year base period with two (2) one-year option periods, plus a Government extension option of up to six (6) months, for a maximum term of three (3) years.
  • Pricing: Based solely on completed removal events under authorized RDOs, not on weight, commodity indices, or market pricing.
  • Performance Guarantee: A $5,000 guarantee is required within ten (10) business days after award notification and prior to any removal.
  • Payment Terms: Due within two (2) business days of invoice receipt, accepted via Wire Transfer, ACH, or Credit Card.
