Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for mapping and chemically spraying noxious weeds, specifically Leafy Spurge and Baby's Breath, on FWS lands. This includes:
- Mapping: Identifying and mapping weed locations.
- Chemical Spraying: Applying specified herbicides (Escort XP for Baby's Breath, Method 240SL for Leafy Spurge) in strict accordance with product labels, approved Pesticide Use Proposals (PUPs), and FWS policies. Application must adhere to label-specified rates, adjuvants, and timing. Equipment must be cleaned and free of debris before arrival. Temporary closures, signage, and a minimum 300 ft standoff from people/vehicles are required unless the area is closed by refuge staff. Label-specific buffers near open water/wetlands must be applied.
