Scope of Work
DLA is seeking comprehensive information from vendors capable of supplying Class I Nickel metal. The RFI requests details across several categories:
- General Data: Company information, GSA/government contract numbers, socioeconomic status, CAGE/UEI, business size, experience as prime/subcontractor, teaming intentions, and financial resources.
- Material Information: Grades, forms, specifications, purity, impurities, testing methods, and baseline grade identification for Class I Nickel.
- Supply Information: Source locations (including CONUS/non-CONUS), supply chain details, annual production/throughput, estimated production time, recycling involvement, pricing methods, and current market prices.
- Delivery Information: Typical order-to-delivery times, quantities, subcontractor use, origin locations, annual capacity, additional capacity, lot/batch definitions, spot delivery, discount offerings, preferred delivery/packaging, and safety concerns.
- Storage Information: Common storage conditions, duration, shelf life, environmental impact, regulations, material rotation, and safety/environmental controls.
- Market Information: Frequency of market price changes, seasonal impact on availability, anticipated manufacturing/technology changes, material substitutions, and customer market sectors.
- Additional Information: Provisions for long-term agreements, Wide Area Workflow status, willingness to provide sales data, agreement to FAR clause 52.216-2, and SAM registration status.
