Purpose & Scope
NIST seeks a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals to repaint and refresh existing pavement markings and safety markings throughout its Boulder, CO campus. The project aims to ensure clear and compliant markings for roadways, parking, and safety zones, utilizing methyl methacrylate (MMA) pavement marking materials.
Key Requirements & Deliverables
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, repainting:
- Approximately 6,900 feet of solid double yellow lane lines.
- 45 ADA-accessible parking spaces and adjacent load/unload zones (white and blue).
- 6 white stop lines.
- 681 white parking spaces and 3 motorcycle spaces.
- Approximately 1,300 feet of red fire lane curbing and "fire lane" lettering.
- Approximately 500 square feet of cargo loading areas with yellow and black diagonal striping.
- Approximately 1,300 feet of yellow curbing areas.
- Approximately 500 feet of yellow stair tread nose and riser. Contractors must also submit a detailed, site-specific Safety Plan within 7 days after award, and provide all necessary safety equipment, PPE, training, health hazard assessments, and medical evaluations, ensuring compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12.
