Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To maintain the landscaping design of the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and ensure the proper maintenance of trees, keeping them healthy, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

• Provide services for shaping trees by pleaching or shearing at the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial.

• This applies to Linden trees with an existing pleaching effect. Pruning of adjacent oak trees to create approximately 3' clearance is also required.

• Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and travel necessary for the task.

• Daily cleanup of the work area and disposal of all tree debris.

• Site protection measures to ensure the safety of the public and contractor employees.

• Provide equipment to access trees without damaging hardscape; submit methodology with bid.

• Avoid parking or driving equipment onto critical root zone areas.

• Use appropriate mats or plywood when parking on hard surfaces.

• Adhere to industry standards: ANSI Z-133 and A300, and best management practices (BMPs).

• Work must be performed in accordance with ANSI Z-133 and A300 standards and BMPs.

• Quality Control (QC) program required to ensure services meet contract requirements.

• Quality Assurance (QA) by the Government based on a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).

• Contractor-generated refuse and waste must be hauled from the work site daily.

• Invoices must be submitted through the Department of Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform (IPP).
