Quick Summary

The U.S. Army's Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Knox is conducting market research for NMMI ROTC Mini Camp services in Roswell, NM. The government intends to award a sole-source contract to the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) for lodging, meals, dedicated training facilities, sanitation, and Troop Leadership Advisors (TLAs) for the NMMI ROTC Mini Camp, scheduled for June 23-27, 2026. However, MICC Fort Knox is actively seeking other capable vendors to support a potential competitive procurement. Responses are due by May 6, 2026.

Purpose

This Special Notice serves as a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source contract under FAR 12.102(a) for acquisitions at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). Concurrently, it acts as a Sources Sought to identify other businesses (large and small) capable of providing these services. The goal is to determine if a competitive solicitation is feasible, particularly if two or more small businesses demonstrate sufficient capability to warrant a small business set-aside.

Scope of Work

The requirement is for non-personal services to support approximately 50 cadets attending the NMMI Mini Camp. Key services include:

  • Lodging for 50 cadets and Troop Leadership Advisors (TLAs).
  • Meals: Preparation and serving of breakfast and dinner for 50 cadets, with accommodations for 5-8 vegetarian meals.
  • Facilities: Provision of dedicated training facilities, classrooms, and sanitation services.
  • Personnel: Provision of TLAs for night security and oversight (minimum two TLAs from 2100 to 0600 daily).
  • Support: Daily room cleaning, miscellaneous support (copier access, ice, mailing services).
