NNSY REFURBISHMENT OF FREEZER UNITS

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items to procure the refurbishment of six (6) Pipe Freezer Units. • Deliveries are to the Receiving Officer, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Bldg. 276 Portsmouth, VA, Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1630.

Statement of Work (SOW)

To refurbish six (6) NRMD-Kings Bay owned Pipe Freezer Units.

• Refurbish two (2) Xtreme Freeze Pipe Freezer model XF-2000A units.

• Refurbish four (4) Xtreme Freeze Pipe Freezer model XF-4006AR or XF-4006AL units.

• Specific refurbishment tasks include replacing metal and reinsulating hoses, replacing rubber feet, replacing O-rings, draining and filling refrigerant, replacing fans, cleaning coils and units, and draining and replacing oil.

• Contract Period: June 1, 2026 (or time of award) to May 31, 2027 (or upon return of all refurbished units).

• Place of Performance: Shipping address is TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, 990 USS THOMAS JEFFERSON DRIVE, KINGS BAY, GA 31547-5400.

• Government Furnished Equipment: NRMD-Kings Bay will provide the six Pipe Freezer Units.

• Vendor must segregate provided units from other materials.

• Original NRMD-KB markings and/or tags must be maintained.

• All contractors require a DBIDS card for access to NNSY, with a specific procedure outlined for obtaining one.

• Policies regarding Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) within controlled areas are detailed, with specific restrictions in Nuclear Work Areas, Open Storage Areas, and on Navy Submarines.
