Quick Summary
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has issued a Notice of Intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to SomaLogic Operating Co, Inc. for SomaScan 7K and 11K Assay Kits. This acquisition, valued at an estimated $522,030, is critical for ongoing research at the Center for Human Immunology (CHI) in Bethesda, MD. Capability statements from comparable sources are due by May 13, 2026, 5:00 PM EST.
Scope of Work
NIAID intends to procure 15 SomaScan 7K and 11K assay kits (Plasma, Serum, Urine, Cerebral Spinal Fluid, Cell and Tissue) to enable the Center for Human Immunology (CHI) to analyze clinical samples. These kits are required to measure over 11,000 proteins across 10 logs of concentration dynamic range with high accuracy (median %CV <5%) using less than 150 uL of human biological samples. The kits must be compatible with CHI's existing SomaScan V4.1 Assay system and Tecan Fluent Liquid Handling platform, ensuring data comparability for ongoing longitudinal studies and clinical trials.
