Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy's NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS) has issued a Notice of Intent to solicit and negotiate with limited sources for the Evaluation, Repair, and/or Modification of specific Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (NIINs). The Government intends to proceed under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), as it does not possess the necessary data to perform these repairs or manufacture the items from any sources other than LAUREL TECHNOLOGIES PARTNERSHIP and NORTHROP GRUMMAN SYSTEMS CORP.
Scope of Work
This opportunity seeks contractors to furnish effort, including labor, material, and facilities, required to evaluate, repair, and/or modify a list of specific National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs). These NIINs fall under the product service code 5998, "Electrical And Electronic Assemblies; Boards, Cards, And Associated Hardware." The Government's inability to provide the necessary data for these repairs necessitates a limited source approach.
