The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires a contractor to provide a service/maintenance coverage contract to maintain and repair a CAMECA LEAP 4000X-Si atom probe microscope, serial number 5020.
NIST conducted market research from August 2025 to November 2025 via Intenet searches, GSA searches, Thomas Register, System for Award Management, Professional Journals, Trade Magazine review, and Speaking to Colleagues to determine what sources could meet NIST’s minimum requirements. The results of that market research revealed that only CAMECA Instruments, Inc.; 5470 Nobel Drive, Madison, WI 53711 (UEI:GE2SRXMY74F3)appears to be capable of meeting NIST’s requirements per the following.
The CAMECA LEAP4000X-Si atom probe microscope is a highly specialized instrument capable of atomic resolution and atomic-scale chemical analysis in 3 dimensions. This requisition is for an annual maintenance and service contract for an existing CAMECA LEAP4000X-Si atom probe microscope (SN 5020). The CAMECA LEAP 4000X-Si atom probe microscope is designed, manufactured, and sold only by CAMECA Instruments and uses CAMECA patented and proprietary technology from hardware components to software control systems. Thus, CAMECA has unique proprietary knowledge of this instrument, immediate access to custom replacement parts, and can provide maintenance and service. In summary, CAMECA has the unique knowledge required to service and maintain the LEAP400)X-Si atom probe microscope at NIST.
However, any sources that believe they are capable of meeting NIST’s minimum requirements are encouraged to respond to this notice by the response date to provide the following information at a minimum: Company Unique Entity Identifier number in https://sam.gov; details about what your company is capable of providing that meets or exceeds NIST’s minimum requirements; whether your company is an authorized reseller of the product or service being cited and evidence of such authorization; and any other information that can help NIST determine whether this requirement may be competitively satisfied.
