Quick Summary
The United States Air Force has issued a Notice of Intent to Single Source for the relocation of the 24/7 Access Control and Surveillance System at Misawa Air Base, Japan. The Air Force intends to award a purchase order to Techno Co., Ltd. for this service. Interested parties wishing to challenge this single-source intent must submit a letter of intent and rationale by April 6, 2026.
Purpose & Justification
This notice announces the intent to award a single-source purchase order to Techno Co., Ltd. for relocating the existing 24/7 Access Control and Surveillance System from Potter Fitness Center (BLDG 622) to BLDG 620 and the Community Commons (BLDG 1006) at Misawa Air Base. This is a follow-on service to contract FA520525P0074, under which Techno Co., Ltd. installed a 24/7 security system at BLDG 973 and provided the security system hub at BLDG 620. The integration of the BLDG 620 hub, including fiber optic installation from BLDG 622 to BLDG 620, cannot be completed until this relocation is finished. Due to the nature of the requirement and the need for seamless integration with existing systems, Techno Co., Ltd. is deemed the only responsible vendor capable of relocating and integrating all 24/7 facility access systems across BLDGs 620, 1006, and 973.
Scope of Work
The required services include:
- Relocation of specific equipment (maglocks, card scanners, motion sensors, hub panels, projectors, audio equipment, ICG Training System, cameras) from BLDG 622 to BLDG 620 and BLDG 1006.
- Installation of fiber optic cabling from BLDG 622 to BLDG 620. Fiber optic installation must be subcontracted through SANWA Engineering.
- Provision and installation of a new portable Audio/Visual (A/V) system in the New Aerobics Room in BLDG 620.
- Provision and installation of a new 24/7 locking system for the front door of BLDG 1006, integrated with the BLDG 620 system.
- Ensuring camera compatibility with existing network and electrical infrastructure in BLDG 1006.
- System configuration and operational setup. Work is to be performed at BLDGs 620, 622, and 1006 at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Key deadlines for removal and fiber optic installation are by April 30, 2026.
