Purpose & Scope
The GSL's Structural Mechanics Branch (SMB) R&D operates an 8-ft x 8-ft Blast Load Simulator (BLS-8) for evaluating structural targets under shock waves. A new Circle 2 Square (C2SQ) component is required to replace the existing one. The new component must be designed to reduce negative artifacts of target loading and produce a uniform blast waveform upstream of the target vessel, which is critical for the continuation of GSL's mission and SMB's research.
