Statement of Work (SOW)

Procure and install an ACME general purpose transformer, encapsulated core, 15 kVA, 1-phase, 240/480 VAC, with a 120/240 VAC secondary, 60 Hz, electrostatic shield, and NEMA 3R rating. This transformer is required to provide the necessary energy output for the Gulmay X-ray machine, which is critical for radiography operations.

• Procure the specified ACME general purpose transformer.

• Install the transformer at Site 8.

• Ensure the transformer provides the required energy output for the Gulmay X-ray machine.

• Deliver the transformer in working condition.

• Install the transformer properly within Site 8.

• Installation is expected to take 8 hours on-site.

• Travel costs are included in the installation price.

• Provide guidance for delivery and installation.

• Provide access to the delivery and installation area.

• Shipping: Items must be shipped to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, 276 Beatty Street, Portsmouth, VA 23709. Include document number(s) and label items appropriately.
• Access: Contractors require a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) card for unescorted access to NNSY. Procedures for obtaining a DBIDS card are outlined, including SECNAV 5512 form completion and vetting.
• Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs): Policies regarding PEDs within controlled industrial areas, security islands, controlled nuclear information areas, nuclear work areas, and open storage areas are detailed. Camera-enabled PEDs are allowed in specific areas but prohibited in others.
• Safety: Contractors must follow Federal and State OSHA requirements and NNSY OSHE Program Manual. Hazardous Energy Control (HEC) procedures must be followed, and NNSY Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs) and/or Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs) must be notified prior to starting HEC work. HEC locks and tags are required.
