Scope of Work
The NIMBUS software must provide comprehensive capabilities for case and quality management, including:
- Full Life Cycle Chain of Custody Tracking for all evidence items, data, and information.
- Efficiency and Consistency: Establish consistency in evidence collection via integrated custom intake templates and workflow automation.
- Evidence Submission Control: Prohibit official submission without satisfying EOUSA requisites through automated workflows.
- Case Management: Manage and track cases across multiple CSS Staffs (Threat, DA&I, SOC) and provide independent case management for Incident Response, Digital Forensics, and Insider Threat.
- Security & Privacy: Prevent unauthorized access (Privacy & Civil Liberties) and ensure role-based permissions.
- Collaboration: Facilitate cross-vertical collaboration while prohibiting co-mingling of case data.
- Workflow Automation: Integrate workflow automation to ensure investigative actions meet prior requisites or management approval.
- Reporting & Metrics: Provide unified reporting of cross-vertical incident analyses, simplified management metrics (CISO and CIO), and operational metrics (e.g., examiner hours).
- Compliance: Support coordination with DOJ Insider Threat Prevention and Detection Program and comply with DOJ Orders 0904 and 0908.
- Technical Requirements: Compatible with Okta and Sailpoint for account management, and include a disaster recovery mechanism.
